A young squash player from Malaysia made waves at a recently concluded squash event in Japan after the spectators found out that this was his debut tournament in international squash courts.
According to reports, Malaysian player Adam Agan Aziz clinched the Japan Junior Open Under-9 title. The competitions were held at Yokohama, Japan and concluded last Sunday.
Aziz hails from Sekolah Kebangsaan Ayer Keroh and has won two Under-9 events in his home country. This time, he had just beaten fellow squash players from seven countries to lift the trophy.
Aziz Jafar, the father of the young squash sensation, said that the victory achieved by his son would certainly open doors for bigger and more prestigious titles especially if proper guidance and exposure is given. The 45-year old is a secretary of the Melaka Squash Racquets Association and was extremely proud of his son’s achievements.
The older Aziz said that his son started playing the sport at the age of four and practices for at least two hours a day at a squash court located in Batu Berendam. He added that his son wishes to become more successful in the sport similar to the achievements made by Datuk Nicol David who’s currently the women’s world number one playing with a prince squash racket.
The victory party held after the tournament was reportedly hosted by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam. The venue was at Mohd Ali’s official residence located at Seri Bendahara.
Mohd Ali stated in an interview that the government will do its best to assist young Aziz in terms of looking for the best professional coach in order to guide him properly to become the leading squash player in the world.

Here is a question to ponder. What kind of exercise equipment do you utilize? The options are boundless. I might have left some major one out, but genuinely, that is not my point at any rate.

I’ve been deliberating about purchasing a decent home gym equipment myself, since I am getting a bit sick and tired of going about twenty mins to get to the gymnasium and 20 minutes to return.
