Big Players Bring High Speed Gaming Laptops to the Masses

August 13, 2008

It was not too long ago when only a couple of brands produced gaming laptops. I very much doubt they sold in any ground breaking volumes but they certainly produced lots of revenue for the companies. The most sought after laptops were the ones that were too pricey to think of purchasing. They were evidently the best laptops that the technology could offer at that time. Although they did get everybody excited I do not think they sold well because not many people actually buy laptops that are expensive. As the giant computer brands appreciate the potential profits in gaming portables, the industry is altering.

They are aware there is revenue to be made here. They could control the sector. At this point in time the markup on the majority of laptops are so marginal that this presents a golden chance to get back the gross margins. Little resellers are unable compete with them in swaying potential buyers to buy laptops. I am trying to think what the the reaction from littler system builders will be. I am already noticing some price drops. I am pretty certain that the giant brands will try to force the little ones out. People just feel tons more at ease making a large purchase from a familiar name.

I reckon they certainly are releasing a few of the best laptops out to buy. I believe this would still be the encouraging benefit for littler resellers though. The customisation service is an enormous plus to the customer. Normally many comparisons of the tech specs will be carried out and the techies can say what the better system actually is. In my view I believe consumers care more about the speed instead of design.

This is all really good from the consumers perspective. In the end, the prices will be dropped even more making premium technology to be a choice that we can afford. Though I say that, I am not so sure of my predictions. I am not confident if the whole price of laptops will decline but the latest laptops are usually at particular price points. Although I still reckon effects will be positive because of the saturated sector, we will have to wait and see.

Check out http://www.rizeon.com as they are providing some extremely high spec laptops for the prices.
